Our goal is to continue to develop our company in order to go from a sustainable to a regenerative food manufacturer by 2030. On our way to achieving this goal, we consider the well-being of humans, animals and the planet, taking not only ecological but also social and economical aspects into account.
Roughly 1/3 of our annual electricity consumption is covered by our 2,000 m2 solar power system. The electricity generated from this system is used to power our production facilities as well as five electric vehicle charging stations for our customers and employees.
We work together with farmers that grow almonds in Europe using regenerative methods and state-of-the-art technology. Regenerative agriculture makes it possible to use the available resources as efficiently as possible and therefore maintain biodiversity on and around farmland.
We never use palm oil in any of our recipes. Instead, we use sustainable alternatives. In cooperation with universities and other industrial companies, we are currently researching potential fat alternatives.
Anything we don’t use gets converted into biogas and fed back into the natural gas network.
Most of our cooling systems are operated with only CO2 as a coolant, which helps us reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
We use LED lighting with motion sensors in our production facilities and offices.
We protect the contents of our packages during shipping with paper air cushions that are fully recyclable. These biodegradable packaging materials allow us to reduce our plastic consumption by more than 500 kg annually.
Reducing employee workloads and getting the best out of the production facilities also have an impact on a company’s energy efficiency. Therefore, we are continually analyzing and improving our processes.
SwissEnergy, the Swiss federal government’s central platform for energy efficiency and renewable energy, is helping us carry out a study on how to use the energy required in the industrial zone as efficiently as possible.
We will be happy to respond to any media requests either by phone or in writing.
