Labels and certifications

This quality seal from Bio Suisse attests to the fact that food products were grown organically. Patiswiss offers a wide range of nuts, seeds, confectionery and bakery ingredients, and cacao products with Bio Suisse or Bud label certification.

The EU organic label is used to label food products that were grown organically in the EU. Certified products must meet the same standards as products certified with the Bio Suisse Bud label.

Products that are certified in accordance with the Swiss Ordinance on Organic Farming also meet the requirements of the United States Department of Agriculture, which is the organization responsible for organic certification in the US. Patiswiss is therefore authorized to trade these goods between Switzerland and the US.

Products with the Naturland label must meet strict requirements in terms of cultivation and processing. Manufacturers also comply with special social and fair-trade standards. As a Naturland partner, Patiswiss can offer its customers semi-finished and finished products manufactured in accordance with Naturland standards.

The Max Havelaar Foundation’s Fairtrade seal stands for fairly grown and traded raw materials. As a trading partner, Patiswiss offers Fairtrade-certified nuts and oilseeds as well as cacao, unrefined sugar, spices and coffee for the production and marketing of your desired semi-finished and finished products.

The seal from the Rainforest Alliance (formerly UTZ), an environmental protection organization, certifies products from farms with a social and environmental management system. As a licensee, Patiswiss uses more than 95% Rainforest-Alliance-certified hazelnuts in its products and also processes couvertures with the Rainforest Alliance label.

The internationally recognized Halal certification, which is issued by Halal Certification Services GmbH, allows us to sell products that were manufactured in accordance with Islamic law.

OK-D certification allows us to manufacture products for the Jewish community under the supervision of or with the approval of a rabbi.

Sedex’s SMETA is an audit that ensures that a company is complying with labor, health, safety, and environmental standards as well as business ethics along the supply chain, thus offering you transparency and security when purchasing our products.

The Food Safety System Certification 22000 is a certification scheme to ensure food safety during the production of high-quality food products and is one of the most important food safety standards worldwide alongside IFS and BRC. It is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
